So your getting ready for the big day and there are still are a few loose ends to tie up. One of those might be that you are stressing over what Mother Son song to pick. Well don’t despair….. I have great list for you.I think first you must decide weather you should even have one with your mom. Sure, you love her and she loves you but what if she might feel uncomfortable out there, just the two of you while being surrounded by 150 guests wondering “when do we finally get to dance”?Let’s try to break this down so your Bride Groom first dance song let’s say is 4:30 long, than we have the Father Daughter dance and it’s 4:00 minutes long now you have a dance with your Mom and it is also 4:00 minutes long. Now we are 12:30 minutes before we ever get any of the guests out there. Not to mention they have just sat through the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Toasts, Cake Cutting and now the reception is half over!
One great idea is to have the Father Daughter & Mother Son dance combined. Or you can have you and your mom come out half way through the Father Daughter dance!
Let me back up a little, I have been DJing for a long time and none of this I have said so far might not matter. The most important thing you need to do is ASK MOM FIRST! She may have been thinking about this all of her life and definitely want her own dance with son on his wedding day! She may already have a song picked out as well. Remember she ia a VIP too!
